MacDonald Ranch - So Much to Offer

Henderson is the second largest city in Nevada, just southeast of Las Vegas. Over the past five years or so, this region has proved to be the most sought after real estate, with MacDonald Ranch being one of the best master-planned communities. The main attractions of MacDonald Ranch are proximity to McCarran International Airport and the Las Vegas Strip, two excellent golf courses and a range of homes to suit every taste and budget. The community is built against the backdrop of the McCullough Mountains and is 35 minutes from Lake Mead. Houses face either the mountains or the golf courses.

The choice of homes in the various neighborhoods of MacDonald Ranch is really quite impressive. The homes in upscale MacDonald Highlands, Foothills At Mac Donald Ranch, Sunridge at MacDonald and the age restricted Sun City MacDonald Ranch are worth investigating. MacDonald Ranch offers a variety of home styles, from apartments and single-family residences to affordable town homes, pricey custom homes and luxury custom estates.
Many of the luxury home sites nestle in the mountainside and provide breathtaking views of the Las Vegas strip. Depending on the community, amenities offered vary and may include tennis and swimming, fitness and athletic centers, basketball, baseball and volleyball as well as parks and children's play areas.

If you can afford it, the prestigious community of MacDonald Highlands is the place to choose. It rises above the Las Vegas valley, in the mountains and is Southern Nevada's first hillside community. Encompassing over 1,200 acres and surrounding the exceptional 18-hole championship Dragon Ridge golf course and Country Club, MacDonald Highlands is a guard-gated community that includes three neighborhood parks. The way the growth and demand has been thus far, there is, no doubt, that neighborhood will be sold out and all the promised amenities will fructify.

The 10 acres of open space features tennis, basketball and volleyball courts play areas and picnic facilities. MacDonald Highlands will have five miles of walking trails meandering throughout the community to join nature trails into the surrounding McCullough Mountains. MacDonald Highlands offers 800 luxury residential custom home sites ranging from one-quarter acre to over one acre. Toll Brothers are offering some luxuriously appointed semi-custom homes. The custom home sites have been built around the championship Dragon Ridge golf course, and are spread out over 2 square miles. MacDonald Highlands is obviously the lowest density master-planned community in southern Nevada. It recently hosted the popular "Street of Dreams," displaying the latest innovations in home design. Plans also include an enclave of luxury condominiums and town homes.

Senior citizens looking for an age-restricted community will fall in love with Sun City MacDonald Ranch, all 564 acres of it. The homes surround Willow Golf Course and Country Club that features beautiful willow trees along the fairways and greens. Other amenities for active senior citizens include tennis, boccie ball, modern fitness facilities, swimming pools and spas. Other communities such as Sunridge at MacDonald Ranch and Foothills at MacDonald are under development. MacDonald Ranch is close to shops, restaurants and businesses. Whether you are a golfer, a boater or just someone who enjoys scenic mountain views, the community has something to offer in a variety of price ranges.
