Nevada Trails – Eco-Friendly Luxury
Nevada Trails, the master-planned community in southwest Las Vegas is ready for occupation. The scenic beauty of Nevada Trails, surrounded by spectacular desert and open sky, the winding trail and acres of parks brings you close to nature. Pardee Homes, the builders have incorporated exciting features that were not part of the initially disclosed plans. The original model featured lush landscaping making Nevada Trails an exotic oasis in the desert.
Somewhere along the line, a new model complex was created across the street that is a showcase for a variety of colorful desert-friendly plants. The succulents include agaves, ocotillos, yuccas, creosote, cacti, and the inspirations of the three neighborhoods of Nevada Trails, the mesquite, palo verde and shoestring acacia, plus the beautiful desert willow tree. All these plants are tagged with informational signage for the visitor. Nevada Trails is also a test bed for plants from Southern California that are drought tolerant.
Water-saving landscaping is most evident at Nevada Trails. In addition to drought-tolerant plants, the builders have installed a state-of-the-art irrigation system, operated by satellite technology that receives weather data twice a day to determine how much water each plant needs.
Palo Verde, Acacia and Mesquite are three neighborhoods of the master-planned community that includes parks, hiking trails and a elementary school. Palo Verde, the first neighborhood, features courtyards homes of over five thousand square feet with up to 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Acacia has homes up to 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms of over three thousand three hundred square feet, in designs of one or two stories. Mesquite homes range from fifteen hundred to twothousand five hundred square feet that have up to 5 bedrooms. Many homes at Nevada Trails will feature courtyard entries, island kitchens, 3 bay garages and sun room.
Pardee Homes have introduced another unique option in their larger designs, a permanent outdoor kitchen. Pardee's Ultimate Family Home is for those who can't get enough alfresco entertaining. The Nevada year-round climate permits it, so you can actually have a full-fledged fully equipped outdoor kitchen with a gas-fired oven/barbecue, cook top burners, refrigerator, sink, cabinetry, a food prep island and even a garbage disposal. All this at a price of course because you can’t leave all this stuff out there without some protective measures!
Nevada Trails offers other groundbreaking features like their LivingSmart® program with exciting choices for healthier, more efficient living. All homes are designed according to ComfortWise® standards and they will meet rigorous Energy Star® requirements. Features include customized air conditioners, extra-tight duct systems, solar electricity, fluorescent lighting, tank-less water heaters, low VOC paint and central vacuum systems.
Spectrally selective glass windows let in natural light without tinting but block 75% of the harmful uv rays which can fade furnishings. They also block out infrared light, which produces solar heat and this can reduce summer cooling bills by 40%. The homes will not only save energy but also create a much healthier and comfortable living environment. Outstanding caulking, sealing and insulation not only keep energy in, but also help keep dust and allergens out, so important while living in the great Mojave Desert.
